Personal Statement
My path into instructional design began in the classroom, where I learned that effective learning starts with empathy, clarity and reflection. Today, I design onboarding and eLearning experiences that balance human-centered design with organizational needs.
What I’ve Learned
Instructional design once felt overwhelming and unfamiliar — until I realized I had been practicing it all along. This reflection shares my growth from classroom teacher to emerging instructional designer and the lessons learned through creating eLearning experiences.
CYFD Internship
I am currently serving as an Instructional Design Inter, collaborating with the Workforce Development Team with the New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department to support training initiatives and learning development projects. I have also include an article featuring an interview with my supervisor that highlights recent changes and initiatives within the department.
